Connect with Nature
Being in nature, whether the bush or backyard, or even watching videos and images of nature, has the capacity to change the way our brain's work, and as a result, how our bodies feel. How cool is that? Given that through the lens of Te Ao Māori, all things are connected, it makes sense that getting out into nature is also inextricably linked with matauranga Māori and specifically, wairuatanga or spirituality.
Relaxing Sounds of the ForestLawrence O’Grady has recorded the beautiful sounds of the Victoria Forest in Waiuta, New Zealand. These are perfect for listening to while laying back and closing your eyes. Even better if you can catch a breeze to feel like you are really there in person.

Animals and the Power of Cute
Pets. We love them and they love us. Check out this article about the superpowers of pets and how pets can help detect our mood and help us feel better, especially those which are trained just for this purpose, such as Emotional Support Animal (ESA), including Mental Health Assistance Dogs. Of course we can't all have pets so the next best option is looking at pictures or videos of "cute" baby animals and squeezing something at the same time, like a soft toy, cushion,or even your schoolbag. There’s a reason why so many people watch and share videos of cute animals; it's because it makes us feel good.
